H. Stewart Parker

Director

Ms. Parker is an experienced biotech executive. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI), a nonprofit research organization focused on the development of products for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of neglected diseases from March 2011 to January 2014. Prior to IDRI, Ms. Parker founded Targeted Genetics Corporation (Nasdaq: TGEN), a Seattle-based biotechnology company formed to develop gene-based treatments for acquired and inherited disease. She held the position of President and CEO and as a Director from its spinout from Immunex Corporation from its inception in 1992 through 2008.

Prior to founding Targeted Genetics, Ms. Parker served in various capacities at Immunex Corporation from 1981 through 1992, most recently as Vice President of Corporate Development. From 1991 to 1993, Ms. Parker served as President and Director at Receptech Corporation, a company formed by Immunex in 1989 to accelerate the development of soluble cytokine receptor products. Ms. Parker currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for several for-profit and non-profit institutions.

Ms. Parker received her B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Washington.
