Craig Erickson, M.D., is a Professor of Psychiatry and Director of Research at the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He leads a translational medicine research group focused on new treatment development addressing unmet medical needs in neurodevelopmental disorders including autism, fragile X syndrome, and related disorders, and is currently the principal investigator on multiple NIH-funded research programs in neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Erickson earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He was Chief Resident in Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he completed a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry along with a M.S. in Clinical Research.

Dr. Erickson is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Developmental Disabilities Fellowship Committee and an associate member of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP). He was awarded the 2021 Frank J. Menolascino Award for Psychiatric Services for Persons with Intellectual Developmental Disorders by the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

Dr. Erickson is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders (and previously served on the Editorial Board). He is on the Editorial Board of BMC Pediatrics, the Journal of Medical Disorders, and the Journal of Pediatric Genetics. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed manuscripts, editorials, books, and national and international meeting procedures.
